Dr Caixeiro joined CONCERT with the key task to establish and drive the Cancer Biobank. Since then, Dr Caixeiro has utilised her molecular and protein chemistry experience as well as her expertise with human research ethics to assist cancer researchers design, plan and submit their research studies to various human research ethics committees utilising CONCERT Biobank biospecimens. Dr Caixeiro now has also pioneered several biobanking studies aimed at increasing and maintaining researcher utilisation of biospecimens and developing strategies and education initiatives to better engage health professionals and public support of biobanks.
